Hai haaai

There's a good feeling when a new year starts - or at least that's the case for me. Now's the chance to finally start those changes you've thought of for a while, but have kept procrastinating. It's easier to get started when it's the beginning of a new year. There's less to catch up with. You can ditch all that backload.


I decided to start with blank pages and try to leave everything of the previous year behind. It's a mental thing, I guess. It works if you believe it. Doesn't mean you should forget everything that has happened, good or bad, but that you should keep your gaze focused forwards and not be hindered by it.


It's never too late to achieve something, whether it is a change or an improvement, as long as you decide that you're going to do something about it.


I, for one, am terrible at geography. For example, I hardly know the capital of any countries, and it's been like this for a long time. So, I finally decided to make myself a little new years resolution: to learn one new capital of a country a day. That sounds like nothing, right? But looking ahead, that means I'll know 365 capitals by next year. That's pretty impressive, isn't it? By my standards it is, and I find that I really enjoy it as well, so I think I'll actually keep it up (but it's still just January...).


.. and then... we'll see who rocks the family quiz when I go home for Christmas... ...

The capital of Uzbekistan? Ha! Easy! That's Tashkent!
